5K Training Course

I found this and decided to use it to get myself into better shape. One week in, and loving it!! I kinda cheated...I started with 20 minutes, but I will just do that for the first month. Maybe I'll even do a 5K someday. Yeah, am I kidding myself??
Update March 15...
I found a different training program than what I had originally put up. I am not posting it here, but basically I walk 5 days a week but vary the routine. Three days a week we have a group that does 30-45 minutes at 4 mph. It was hard at first, hurt my shins! But now it's pretty easy. Then 5 days a week I am still going to the gym and doing the treadmill for 30-40 minutes at 4 mph or 40-60 at 3 mph. Trying to build up my length of time, and alternating will also help me get into better shape. I have only lost 6 pounds in the last 8 weeks, but my clothes already fit better. I've lost a few inches, so that is good. I am trying to do my Pilates each night too. I really want a bike! I love biking, so hopefully sometime before summer I will do that...

Kids ask the darndest questions...

Kids have a way of coming up with all sorts
of things to ask. Sometimes they are very profound
and sometimes they leave you stumped,
asking yourself "Ok, how do I answer this enough to
satisfy her need to know, without giving away too much
information"? The things that make you go "hmm". So I am on
the computer chatting with my sister Lisa this morning,
and Abbey asks one of her questions that she obviously has
thought out and determined what makes sense to her:
"Mommy, when you want to have a baby, do you go up to Heaven and get one and then come back"?
I thought it was so cute and so cut and dry for her, before
I even said anything I quickly told Lisa what she asked. We had a
hearty laugh when she came up with a quick-witted response. By then the moment had passed, and I got to avoid the whole topic.

Standard Kid Time

Lately, everything to Abbey that has a time frame to it is either "a year ago" or "12 weeks ago".
So, here is a little tid-bit from this morning:

Abbey: "I love you, Mom".

Me: "I love you, too".

Abbey: "You make the goodest cinnamon rolls".

Me: "Thank you"!

Abbey: "I still loved you even when you didn't make any for a year".

Some great photos Dad took in Idaho where they live.
